New Zealand legislation has been passed requiring New Zealand registered companies and limited partnerships to have a director who lives in New Zealand or who is a director of a company in a prescribed enforcement country.

A list of prescribed countries will follow as soon as this is available.  We suspect this will be limited.

We are waiting for the relevant provisions to come into force by Order in Council and will update you then.

​

There will be a further 6 month period for existing companies to comply with the resident director requirement.

​
